Jim Boucher is Cree and Dene, and is the president of the Saa Dene Group of Companies and the former long standing elected Chief of the Fort McKay First Nation, one of the most successful First Nations in Canada.

Jim is known for his visionary, consensus-based leadership and which was built upon a foundation of trust and collaboration, with the transaction serving as a model for how Indigenous groups and energy development companies and governments can work together to achieve mutual long-term benefit – hallmarks of Jim’s business style. 

Jim has received more than a dozen notable awards and accolades throughout his career.  


Dale Friesen
Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs & Chief Government Affairs Officer

Dale Friesen is senior Vice president, Corporate Affairs & Chief Government Affairs Officer of ATCO Ltd., where he is responsible for cultivating constructive relationships with all levels of government, advancing ATCO’s global advocacy initiatives, and fostering authentic dialogue with constituents to create the conditions for shared, sustainable prosperity. Dale has more than 30 years of experience with ATCO, having served in a variety of technical, management, and senior leadership roles in both Canada and Australia.  

Dale serves as an Executive Officer of the Alberta Chamber of Resources Board and is Chair for the Canadian Electricity Association’s Generation Council. He has also served as a member of Environment and Climate Change Canada’s (ECCC) Technical Working Group for the Clean Fuel Standards, the Multi-Stakeholder Committee on GHG Regulatory Measures and Programs, and the Technical Working Group for Natural Gas Greenhouse Gas Regulations.  He is also a member of the Delphi Excel Group and of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
